Portfolio Review with Alise Careva 

Join Alise Careva for a one-on-one portfolio review during Lisbon Street Photo Fest.

Currently the director of In The Pink Photography gallery in the Algarve, Alise has over 15 years of experience in contemporary art and photography fields. With a bachelor degree from Central Saint Martins in London, and Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute Alise has an in depth knowledge of creative processes as well as the ways in which photographers can situate themselves within a market.

Originally from Latvia, she founded and ran Careva Contemporary, a gallery that showcased emerging and mid-career artists from the Baltics and Eastern Europe, organising exhibitions in Riga, as well as participating in art fairs within Europe and the US. With a strong sensibility for photographic work and visual storytelling, she has supported photographers and contemporary artists through career planning and strategy, organising exhibitions, podcasting and conceptual and visual development. 

Her feedback is ideal for those interested in preparing a project for public presentation.

What You’ll Need 

• A selection of images from a project or your portfolio 
• Printed images (small format is fine) are strongly recommended 
• If printing isn’t possible, bring a laptop or tablet with your images prepared as a clear, organised presentation (PDF or folder)
