Our Commitment to a More Sustainable Festival

At Lisbon Street Photo Fest we believe that art and culture can flourish without compromising the planet that inspires us. This year we took important first steps toward making our festival more sustainable. Although our efforts have not yet reached the level we aspire to, we know that change is a shared responsibility — and that we can all contribute to reducing carbon emissions while still thriving in the world of arts and entertainment.

One concrete action this year is the distribution of reusable water bottles to all attendees. By making refill stations available throughout the venue, everyone can stay hydrated without relying on single-use plastic/glass/aluminium packaging. This small change alone prevents thousands of disposable bottles from entering the waste stream, and savings in the use of water, energy and other raw resources.

We also recognize that the largest share of emissions at cultural events usually comes from travel. While we cannot yet eliminate this impact, we are determined to reduce resource depletion and unnecessary waste wherever possible.
